Especially tailored to each individual, this intuitive massage is deeply relaxing yet highly therapeutic and consists of varying techniques to release muscle tension, alleviate discomfort, and help restore balance to your body and mind. As your body relaxes, slow connected strokes may also be combined with deeper tissue work, neuromuscular therapy, or myofascial release to facilitate the body's healing process and support your unique needs.
CranioSacral (SM)
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.
Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, you will be fully clothed on the massage table as I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.
Chakra Balancing with Crystals
Just as our physical body consists of many layers, so too does our energy body. Chakras, a Sanskrit work meaning "wheel", are the energy centers of our body and when these energies are out of balance, we may experience emotional distress or dis-ease. This treatment is provided while you are fully clothed on a massage table and will incorporate chakra associated crystals and light to no touch to align your energetic body leaving you feeling, refreshed, relaxed and renewed.
AromaTouch Treatment
A specialized aromatherapy treatment designed to bring the body back into balance and harmony with the aid of eight different essential oils. These oils have been carefully selected for their aromatic properties and powerful effect on the body and mind when combined in this way. it is a simple yet powerful technique that provides a deeply relaxing and uplifting experience. During the treatment, oils are applied to the meridian points on the back, ears, and feet.
